High Achievers Scholarship is awarded to high-flying, well-rounded candidates with outstanding academic results.

The Driving Dreams Scholarship is awarded to students who have outstanding sports achievement at the State and National levels or have demonstrated outstanding leadership ability through active participation in co-curricular activities, social services and volunteerism. The award seeks to help students of this calibre to drive their dreams in UOW Malaysia KDU.

 

Criteria Value of the scholarship
  • Candidate who hold leadership roles during their high school at school / state / national level such as Chairman / President from a club / society / school uniform body or
  • National or state sport athletes or
  • Candidate who is a special talent award winner in Malaysia /international competition.
50% waiver on tuition fee for the duration of the program

The Vice-Chancellor Scholarship is awarded to current UOW Malaysia KDU students who have consistently delivered outstanding results in their degree program and demonstrate ambitions to positively impact the community and society.

  • Current students who achieve CGPA score greater than or equivalent to 3.75 after one year of study in UOW Malaysia KDU.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership ability, entrepreneurial spirit and other essential attributes.
  • Active participation in clubs / societies management, events and activities.
Up to 100% tuition fee waiver on subsequent semesters for the duration of the programme in UOW Malaysia KDU

The Vice-Chancellor Merit Award is an award to current UOW Malaysia KDU students to recognise their academic achievement and professional development.

The UOW Malaysia KDU Graduate Research Scholarship is offered to suitable candidates who are enrolling in postgraduate research programs in UOW Malaysia KDU.

 

Criteria Value of the scholarship
  1. Applicants shall possess a Bachelor’s degree with Honours with a minimum of 2nd Upper Class or its equivalent.
  2. Must meet all prevailing academic and language requirements.
  3. Must be a full time postgraduate (by Research) student registered at UOW Malaysia KDU.
  4. Applicant must be recommended by the respective school responsible for the supervision and assessment of the candidate’s postgraduate studies.
100% tuition fee waiver for the minimum candidature period of the program.

 

Note :

  1. The scholarship awarded to the recipient is subjected to the following conditions:
    • Submission of satisfactory progress reports at the end of every semester
    • Applicants who do not meet the conditions above could have the scholarship withdrawn after the issuance of a warning letter.
  2. The duration of the scholarship is to follow the minimum duration of the program the candidate is enrolled in.
  3. Recipients are to assist their school as teaching/research assistant during the duration of their study.
  4. Publication of research in International Indexed Journals is required for the recipient:
    • Master’s degree program – 1 journal publication
    • PhD program – 3 journal publication
  5. Recipients are required to sign an intellectual property agreement with UOW Malaysia KDU University College.

The UOW Malaysia KDU College Scholarship is awarded to students who would like to pursue their Law degree program or American Degree program at UOW Malaysia KDU College

The Professional Accountancy Scholarship is a special arrangement for students who want to excel in the accountancy profession. Hope Bursary is awarded to deserving candidates who require financial aid to pursue higher education.

This is a non-bonded scholarship offered by Delloyd Foundation to benefit Malaysian students from low-income families. The foundation believes that providing scholarships is about providing opportunities and giving a chance to students to have the higher education necessary to come into their own and be the next generation of leaders and captains of industry.

Courses of Study Offered: The scholarship is awarded for students in

  • Engineering
  • Accounting
  • Business and Marketing
  • Information Technology

courses as long as it is a full-time Undergraduate Studies (1st degree course) at local Public or Private universities in Malaysia. Those pursuing STPM, A-Levels, Matriculation, Foundation, Pre-U and equivalent courses are not eligible

Academic Requirements: SPM : Min. 8As
UEC : Min. 6As
STPM/Matriculation/A-Level/Foundation/Diploma: Min. CGPA of 3.
Contractual Obligation: It is open to Malaysian citizens aged between 17-25 years who sat for the SPM/STPM/UEC examination in 2018.

Those who have completed their Matriculation, Pre-U, Foundation and Diploma courses , as well as those awaiting to pursue or currently doing their Diploma or Degree programme in the recognized fields at local Public or Private universities can also apply.

The scholarship is only for full time courses conducted in Malaysia local Public or Private universities only.

Delloyd Foundation encourages students with physical disability and impairment to apply for this scholarship. Special consideration will be given to the applicants.

This scholarship is offered only once a year, i.e. after the announcement of STPM and SPM results. Late applications will not be considered.

Applicant may apply first and any offer of scholarship by Delloyd Foundation prior to receiving the applicant official offer letter from the university applied will be regarded as “provisional offer”. Applicant may send the official university offer letter to the foundation prior to the interviews or bring along on the interview day itself.

Applicants are not allowed to change course in the duration of the studies.

The agreed-upon scholarship payment will be paid directly to the institution once a year. All scholars are required to submit their invoice and receipt to Delloyd Foundation for administrative purpose.

This scholarship is not a loan so all scholars don’t have to pay anything back.

Delloyd Foundation scholarship is non-bonding, which means that there is no obligation to serve the Group after graduation. However we welcome all scholars to explore employment opportunities with the Group upon graduation.

Candidates  will  be  evaluated  based  on  their  academic  performance,  financial  needs,  family’s background and circumstances, merits, leadership qualities and etc.

All candidates must submit supporting documents only when selected to the interview stage. Candidate’s documents should be photocopied from the original and certified-true-copy by relevant parties like the school or university. Please note that forgery and provision of false information is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection.

All candidates’ parents’ household income must not exceed RM5,000 per month. Delloyd Foundation will only accept parent’s pay slip such as latest EA form or most recent pay slip. All others will not be accepted.

Delloyd Foundation committee’s decision in all matters pertaining to the selection of the scholarship award is final and no appeal, inquiry or correspondence will be entertained.

KOPERASI JAYADIRI MALAYSIA BERHAD (KOJADI)’s primary objective is to provide financial assistance in the form of study loans to its members and their families to pursue further education both locally and abroad.

Presently, KOJADI has a total 13 loan schemes under it loan programme to cater for a wide spectrum of education courses ranging from vocational and technical to undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

Below are the various education loan schemes currently implemented by KOJADI :

  1. KOJADI Higher Education Loan Scheme (HELS)
    It was set up immediately after inception of KOJADI in 1981.
  2. KOJADI Special Education Loan Scheme (SELS)
    This loan scheme is an extension of HELS. It is set up for those member-students who are ineligible to obtain a loan under HELS.
  3. KOJADI Education Loan Scheme for MINOR (ELSM)
    This loan scheme is designed and implemented students below 18 years old for their pursuit of tertiary and vocational education.
How to apply: All applicants must provide a copy of the letter of offer from the institution of higher learning confirming that the applicant is entitled to enrol into the course chosen.

PREREQUISITES FOR EDUCATION LOAN APPLICATION

  • The applicant must be member of KOJADI with RM100 initial shares.
  • The applicant / nominee must hold the requisite shares ranging from RM500 to RM1,000 depending on the loan amount applied for.

Note: For the convenience of loan-applicant, the Society allows applicants to use partial loan for payment of Additional Share subscription and insurance premium.  

  • The applicant must nominate a child/nominee under a relevant loan scheme.
  • The nominated child/nominee must have gained admission to an approved institution of higher learning locally or abroad.

Applicants required to fill-up a form and the student becomes a member of KOJADI.

  • Obtain and follow the Rules of the relevant loan scheme.
  • Complete a prescribed membership application form and loan application form.
  • Submit the relevant loan documents.

Yayasan TSLSC is a charity arm of IOI group.  Yayasan TSLSC was established in 1994 under the patronage of the IOI Group. Undergraduate Academic Requirements for eligibility:

  • Obtained the following minimum pre-university results:
    • STPM/A Level – minimum 2As
    • Unified Examination of Chinese Schools (UEC-SM3)
    • Foundation – CGPA of minimum 3.5
    • Australian TER – minimum 90.0
    • First/Second year undergraduates must have a current CGPA of at least 3.3, Upper Second-Class Honours or equivalent.
  • Possess outstanding co-curricular achievements and leadership qualities.
  • Willing to serve an employment bond with IOI Group for a specified period upon successful completion of studies.
  • Must not be receiving any form of scholarships from other organisations and be free of any future employment obligations.
  • Those currently pursuing Foundation studies and Pre-Degree Programmes are not eligible to apply.

Other Criteria:

  • Applicants must also possess outstanding co-curricular achievements and leadership qualities.
  • Be willing to serve an employment bond with IOI Group upon successful completion of studies.
  • Must not be receiving any form of scholarships from other organisations and be free of any future employment obligations.
  • Those currently pursuing Foundation studies and Pre-Degree Programmes are not eligible to apply.

Scholarship recipients will be required to serve the IOI Group upon graduation at various locations in Malaysia. The bond period will depend on the amount of the scholarship.

Applicants must meet the following criteria when applying the Genting Malaysia Scholarship:

  • Malaysian citizen aged 23 years and below.
  • Must be waiting for admission to pursue a full-time degree programme in a local or overseas university (Those already pursuing a degree are not eligible)
  • Must possess the requisite Pre-University qualification:
  • STPM: minimum 3 As, OR
  • Matriculation/Diploma: CGPA 3.5 or above, OR
  • A-Level: minimum 3 As, OR
  • Australian TER: minimum 90.0, OR
  • Recognised Foundation/Pre-University courses: equivalent to CGPA 3.5 or above, OR
  • International Baccalaureate: minimum 36.0
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated through active participation in extra-curricular activities.
  • Family household income not exceeding RM5, 000.00 per month.
  • Not presently holding other scholarships or study loans.

SCHOLARSHIP VALUES

Beginning 2016, two categories of scholarship are offered.

The annual value of each is as follow:

  • RM12,000 per year per student who has gained admission into a selected Malaysian public university
  • RM23,000 per year per student who has gained admission into a selected Malaysian private university

The scholarship is tenable for the minimum period required to complete a course leading to a first degree – subject to consistent and excellent academic performance.
