Dr Jenny Wong is the Head of School of Pre-University Studies and School of Business and Social Sciences at UOW Malaysia KDU. She has received the Doctor of Philosophy (Education) from Asia e University, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Nottingham Trent University, UK and Bachelor Degree in Accounting & International Trade from Monash University, Australia.

Her passion is to educate the young minds and to drive changes to the education ecosystem. She has been in the higher education industry for more than 20 years; lecturing and heading various schools and faculties. As the current Head of School at UOW Malaysia KDU, she has developed broader perspectives in design and development of cross disciplinary programmes/specializations, developing school strategies to market academic products, introducing entrepreneurial and innovative centric mind set to teaching and in students’ learning experience. Dr Jenny received the Emerging Scholar Awards 2019 for E-Learning and Innovative Pedagogies Research in Australia.

Her research interest revolves mainly in the area of emotional intelligence (EQ), education, and entrepreneurship. The research focuses on how EQ can play much larger and diversify role in synchronizing the minds in system thinking between and among network of actors ranging from and not limited to learners and educators. She strongly believes EQ is essential to striking the balance between the learners and the educators especially to better engage the minds in the vigorous learning environment which subsequently humanize and improve the education ecosystem. Her current research is on how EQ plays an important role in developing young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial mind set among students. She emphasizes that the research on EQ is not limited to education spectrum but can be expanded to different areas/specialization which promote trans-disciplinary research that promote new concepts, methodologies, creativity that move beyond the boundaries of each area/specialization to provide solutions to common problems in the society. She is also a certified multi-level EQ trainer engage in conducting various types of EQ workshops.
