Associate Professor Ir Dr Gomesh Nair Email: [email protected] Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Gomesh Nair is the Head of Postgraduate and Research Centre at UOW Malaysia KDU. He has more than 10 years of management, academic, and research experience from serving public and private institutions. Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Gomesh Nair has received numerous national, international, and excellence in research awards from prestigious exhibitions such as ITEX, MTE, PECIPTA, BioMALAYSIA, British Innovation Show (BIS), and Seoul International Invention Fair (SIFF). He obtained his Ph.D. in 2015 from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) in the area of solar cells fabrication. Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Gomesh Nair’s research interests include the field of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell, Multilevel Inverter, and Electrical machine design. He has authored and co-authored more than 100 research papers and won more than 100 medals in many engineering product exhibitions in national as well as international events. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) at the Board of Engineers Malaysia, a Chartered Engineer (CEng) in the Engineering Council, UK, and a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE), US. He has supervised postgraduates and more than 40 undergraduates’ projects into completion. He has acquired several government grants such as FRGS, ERGS, KTP, RACE, and many more accumulating up to RM 1.8 Million. He is also currently the functional lead of the Research and Postgraduate Studies at UOW Malaysia KDU.
