Dr Azreen Rozainee joined UOW Malaysia since March 2017 as a lecturer in the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts. Prior before joining UOW Malaysia, she worked as a research officer in University Sains Malaysia for a few years under different project grants from various schools such as School of Social Sciences and School of Humanities.

She holds a degree in Environmental Biology (Hons.) and Master’s degree in Public Administration. She completed her PhD in Resource Management (Tourism Geography) concentrating on multi-stakeholder perspectives on Ecotourism in Belum Temengor Forest Complex, Perak. Her diverse background and her deep interest in natural environment motivates her to pursue research using qualitative methods in areas such as sustainable tourism, nature-based tourism, wildlife conservation, tourism experiences and tourism impacts. She has published in various papers in journals and conferences. Her other interests include medical tourism and gastronomic tourism and she believes that they have huge potential in tourism industry.
