The Certified Accounting Technician Certificate (CAT) is perfect for anyone who is seeking a solid foundation in financial and management accounting. The certificate which offers maximum flexibility and employability provides all the technical skills and knowledge needed to contribute to business performance in an ever-changing business landscape.

Obtaining CAT ensures that students are technically competent in all aspects of accounts support upon completion of this rigorous and flexible programme. This certificate also allows them to fast-track towards being a qualified accountant. CAT covers the key areas of financial accounting, management accounting, taxation and finance.

Academic Qualification

SPM / O Levels :
Min 5 credits (5Cs) inclusive of English and Mathematics

UEC :
Min. 3 Credits (3Bs) inclusive of English and Mathematics

Any other qualifications deemed equivalent by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia (or as stated in the Document Senarai Nilai Taraf Kelayakan Akademik, Malaysian Qualifications Agency):

Pass (Subject to review and approval of certified transcripts)

English Requirement

Local Student:

Credit (SPM / 1119 / UEC / GCE O Level examination) / Min. score of Band 4 in MUET

 

 

Malaysian students who do not possess the English requirement stated above, will have to attempt and pass a compulsory LCCI Certificate in English for Business concurrently in the first semester of CAT or ACCA programmes.
