All students that are taking business studies are required to undergo the Entrepreneurship module, anchored by the School of Business. In the pursuit of nurturing budding entrepreneurs, the School of Business set up its own Enterprise Centre and partnered with Malaysia Practice Enterprise Centre (MyPEC) for its business simulator program. Under the Entrepreneurship module, students work in teams to run a business and solve its problems and issues in a virtual environment. The simulated set-up allows students to use various web-based applications including the SKOLA trading platform, human resources, administration and marketing platforms; providing students with the opportunity to experience different scenarios that occur in a real-world business environment. This teaches students the various methods of facing different situations, taking calculated risks and learning from failures. Besides the simulated environment, students also go through the process of conceptualising, developing and fine-tuning business ideas, which will be pitched to angel investors. The module is taught by lecturers who have had vast industry experience and who are members of the Malaysian Business Angels Network (MBAN).
