Bridging Ties For Scientific Engagement


George Town, 19 November 2018 – LOCAL and international research experts gathered at the first International Conference on Technology and Humanities (IcoTech2018) here at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College to explore the latest innovations available.

The two-day conference held on Nov 17 and 18, witnessed fruitful engagements between researchers from international, public and private universities. They exchanged ideas and shared their research findings throughout the conference.

Deputy Chief Minister II Prof Dr P. Ramasamy stressed on the importance of history, economy and STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Dr Ramasamy also briefly introduced several education initiatives in Penang namely the Tech Dome Penang, Penang Science Cluster and Penang Digital Library.

IcoTech2018 organising chairman Dr. Gomesh Nair said the conference served as a platform for researchers to explore latest researches and applications of algorithms, as well as theories and applications in the field of engineering, computer sciences, information technology, management and humanities.
