Imran Harith

UOW Malaysia (Selangor)

Imran kick-started Discover Muay Thai, a social business initiative for undeserved and underprivileged youths by helping them shed their inhibitions, fears, and develop mental and physical strength through Muay Thai.

During study time, Imran and his classmates had organised a fund raising event called “Night of a Thousand Dreams”, where they managed to raise a large amount of fund and donated to Children’s Wish Society. The experience opened up his eyes in the importance of giving back to society, which is now relating back to his career where he runs his own Social Enterprise.

In Imran’s profession, interaction with people is a huge factor and it helps when he has to have the knowledge and skills that he learned when he was studying in UOW Malaysia KDU. “I always believe that when we are still young, take time to explore the world! Learn different skills and knowledge. Never stop learning no matter how old we are and use it to make this world a better place,’ he says.
